Bundesliga champions Bayern Munich have shifted their focus from Harry Kane to Nigerian striker Victor Osimhen, as they put talks with the English international on hold.
La Gazzetta dello Sport reports that Tottenham rejected Bayern’s €70m offer for Kane, demanding €90m instead.
In response, Bayern Munich has decided to explore the possibility of signing Osimhen from Napoli.
While Bayern is not willing to meet Napoli’s asking price of €180m, they are prepared to offer more than €100m for the 24-year-old Nigerian forward.
Talks have already begun between the club and Osimhen’s representatives.
However, it remains to be seen if this offer will be enough for Napoli, who reportedly turned down a €100m bid from PSG.
Liverpool is also reportedly interested in signing Osimhen. In a separate development, talkTV host Piers Morgan expressed his belief that Arsenal should make a significant investment to sign Osimhen, calling him a world-class striker who can help end the club’s 20-year title drought by scoring 25+ goals a season.
