Former President Muhammadu Buhari has explained that he left his hometown of Daura, Katsina State, to seek a quieter environment.
Buhari stated that the constant influx of visitors to his residence in Daura led him to search for a more peaceful place.
In a statement by his former media aide, Garba Shehu, it was stated that Buhari desired rest and tranquility to reflect on his tenure and for the current administration led by President Bola Tinubu to focus on fulfilling their promises.
After his presidency ended, Buhari initially returned to Daura but later traveled to London, where he met with President Tinubu.
