Mrs. Adenike Laoye has been appointed as the new board chair of Accion Microfinance Bank, one of the national microfinance banks in Nigeria.

With a law degree and over 30 years of experience in the financial services industry, including 17 years as chief legal counsel, Mrs. Laoye brings a wealth of expertise to her new role.

She joined Ecobank Nigeria in 1993 and held various positions within the bank, including head of legal and regulatory unit and company secretary/chief legal counsel.

In 2019, she became the chief of staff to the group CEO of Ecobank Transnational Incorporated, where she gained extensive knowledge of finance, banking, and macroeconomics across Africa.

Mrs. Laoye is a respected figure in the legal and banking sectors, and her contributions have been recognized with several awards and accolades.
