In Kaduna, the police have apprehended Inspector Moses Paul for making an attempt to strangle his fellow officer, Inspector Simnawa Paul, while they were both on duty at the Police Mobile Force base of 62 Squadron Kafanchan on June 16.

According to a statement released by the police on June 26, Inspector Moses Paul used a rope to try and strangle his unsuspecting colleague.

Fortunately, two other police officers heard the victim’s cries for help and rescued him.

Initial investigations suggest that the primary motive behind the incident was an attempt to steal Inspector Simnawa Paul’s rifle.

The full-scale investigation will determine the exact cause of action, and the culprit will face both disciplinary and legal proceedings.
