Iniobong Edo, a popular Nollywood actress, recently shared in an interview with Chude Jideonwo that her childhood aspirations were to become a lawyer or a newscaster.

She revealed that her role model was the late broadcaster, Tokunbo Ajayi, and she was inspired by watching her deliver the news.

Acting was not initially on her radar, and she had always been involved in the arts through school and church.

While waiting to pursue a law degree, Ini Edo enrolled in a Theater Art diploma program, which eventually led her to the film industry.

Despite her passion, her family initially opposed her decision to become an actress. It was a movie director named Ikenna Igwe who visited her house and convinced her parents to support her career in film.
