Family of 21 year old orphan appeals for assistance in treating diagnosed mouth tumour

The family of 21-year-old Lolade Esho is reaching out to Nigerians for help in financing a crucial surgery to remove a debilitating mouth tumour that he has been battling for over seven years.

Lolade, an orphan residing in Ibillo Akoko Edo, Edo State, has been experiencing excruciating pain due to the tumour, which doctors estimate will cost approximately N570,000 to remove.

Lolade’s sister, Mariam, who has been caring for him, revealed that the tumour was initially discovered in 2016 when he was just 13 years old.

After a successful surgery, the family believed the problem was resolved, but the tumour resurfaced in 2018.

Despite seeking help from various sources, including traditional healers, the tumour has persisted and continued to grow.

Mariam shared that their father passed away during the period when they were searching for a solution, and their mother also died before the tumour reappeared.

The family has been left to face this medical challenge alone, with occasional support from their late mother’s sister.

After failed attempts at traditional healing, the family decided to seek medical intervention once again.

Mount Zion Hospital in Edo State, where Lolade is receiving treatment, conducted additional tests, including an x-ray, which confirmed the presence of a tumour in his jaw.

The medical professionals advised that surgery is necessary to remove the tumour, with an estimated cost of N570,000.

”I took him back to see a medical doctor who sent me to do an x-ray and test amounting to N70,000. After the tests, I was told he needs surgery, and a sum of N570,000 will be needed to perform the surgery.”

“I will be grateful if Nigerians can come to our aid and help my brother so that we can do the surgery. The pain is too much.”

“Donations can be sent to my brother’s account in the name of Lolade Esho, account number 1704049571 domiciled at access bank.” She stated
