Three miners killed in Plateau state community

In a tragic incident, suspected Islamic terrorists are said to have claimed the lives of three miners at a mining site near Tanjol in the Jol community of Riyom Local Government Area in Plateau State.

Recent reports have highlighted the alarming wave of violence in the Mangu, Barikin Ladi, and Riyom Councils, where over 200 people have been gruesomely massacred, with little assistance from the government.

While the police have not officially confirmed the latest incident, it is believed to have occurred around 1am on Friday.

The Berom Youth Movement (BYM) expressed their deep concern over the ongoing attacks and killings, urging the government and security agencies to take immediate action to safeguard lives and property in rural communities.

Despite the presence of mobile police officers in the area, the killings have continued unabated.

Efforts to obtain an official statement from the State Police Command were unsuccessful at the time of reporting.
