In a recent interview with J. Malone, Olamilekan Agbeleshe, popularly known as Laycon and the winner of Big Brother Naija Season 5, opened up about his decision to take a break from music.
The rapper revealed that he temporarily stepped away from music because it was no longer enjoyable for him.
Laycon, who has been involved in music from a young age, expressed that music had always been a source of fun and passion for him. However, at a certain point, it lost its spark.
He shared that he had always loved singing and would often listen to other artists’ music and feel the desire to sing it himself.
It wasn’t until the age of 13 that he began writing his own lyrics and creating his own music.
Laycon released his first major project, titled ‘The Young, Black and Gifted’ EP, in 2016, after initially putting out music in 2012 during his university years.
