The Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) has called on the Department of State Services (DSS) to actively pursue terrorists and criminals who are causing harm to Nigerian citizens, rather than solely issuing security alerts during festive periods.

Rev’d Joseph John Hayab, Chairman of the Kaduna Chapter of CAN, made this statement in response to the security alert issued by the DSS regarding potential terrorist attacks on religious and recreational places during the Eid Kabir festival.

Hayab expressed his hope that the alert was not a mere diversionary tactic and urged the DSS, as a covert agency, to take proactive measures in apprehending terrorists and criminals before they carry out their plans.
