Boxing promoter Eddie Hearn has provided confirmation that the much-anticipated bout between Anthony Joshua and Deontay Wilder is close to becoming a finalized agreement.

Hearn, the head of Matchroom Boxing, will be holding meetings in London next week with Skills Challenge Promotions, a Saudi Arabian promotional outfit, as well as representatives of Deontay Wilder.

The aim is to solidify the deal for the fight, which is expected to take place in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in December.

Skills Challenge Promotions is also planning to host the highly awaited undisputed match between Tyson Fury and Oleksandr Usyk on the same card.

Previous attempts to arrange a fight between Joshua and Wilder have encountered obstacles in the past.
