Tribunal accepts Chicago University and NYSC certificates as evidence against Tinubu

The Presidential Election Petitions Court has accepted certified copies of President Bola Tinubu’s academic and work records, which were presented by the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and its candidate, Atiku Abubakar.

The documents consist of Tinubu’s B.Sc certificate from Chicago State University, NYSC Discharge Certificate, and Mobil Nigeria Oil Plc certificate of service.

These records were submitted through a subpoenaed witness, Mike Enahoro Ebah Esq, who noted that the documents were allegedly obtained by Tinubu but bore the name ‘Bola Adekunle Tinubu’.

Led by PDP counsel, Chris Uche (SAN), the witness also provided nomination forms (EC13 and EC9) and accompanying letters addressed to the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).

However, the defense lawyers representing INEC, Tinubu, and the APC objected to the admission of these documents. The witness is now expected to undergo cross-examination by the defense.
