Ikedi Ohakim, the former governor of Imo State, has denied a report claiming that he was leading a rebellion against the current governor, Hope Uzodimma.
The report alleged that Ohakim was upset with Uzodimma for not supporting his aspirations to become a minister in President Bola Tinubu’s administration.
Ohakim released a personal statement, categorically stating that the report was false and aimed at tarnishing his reputation.
Ohakim emphasized that he had no issues with Uzodimma, whom he described as a close friend and trusted political ally.
As a statesman and former governor of the state, Ohakim expressed his commitment to supporting any incumbent governor or administration that is working for the progress and well-being of the state and its people.
He further stated that revolting against Uzodimma would be equivalent to revolting against himself, highlighting Uzodimma’s commendable performance as governor and the appreciation he receives from the people of Imo State.
Ohakim pledged his support for Uzodimma’s success and excellence as the governor.
