A tragic incident occurred in Ohio, United States, last week, resulting in the death of a pregnant woman and her unborn child.

According to police, the woman’s two-year-old son accidentally shot her in the back with a loaded handgun that was left in the house.

The police chief, David Smith, stated that the incident took place on June 16 when the woman called 911, explaining what had happened.

Despite the swift response from the police and immediate medical attention, the unborn baby could not be saved after an emergency c-section, and the woman, identified as Laura Ilg, succumbed to her injuries a few hours later.
