I love Portable, I’m not with him for the money – Ashabi

In an interview with Saturday Beats, Akinyanju Omobolarinde, popularly known as Ashabi and the fiancée of singer Habeeb Okiki, also known as Portable, clarified that her relationship with Portable is not driven by money.

She emphasized that the care and support he provides are what she values the most. Ashabi asserted that she was financially independent before meeting him, having produced movies and accumulated wealth.

She stated that she has always been responsible for her own expenses, even before their relationship began.

Ashabi, who is also an actress, revealed their plans to marry soon and expressed her acceptance of Portable’s other relationships.

She explained that they have introduced their families and are approaching marriage thoughtfully.

Addressing misconceptions about her intentions, Ashabi denied any desire to “snatch” Portable and referred to herself as a shareholder in his life.

She highlighted her own career and responsibilities, expressing the need for balance and her desire for further success in the entertainment industry.

Responding to critics who perceive Portable as rough based on his performances, Ashabi defended him, stating that his stage persona does not accurately reflect his true personality.

She described him as a caring and understanding partner who is always available and attentive when she needs him.

Ashabi also discussed her ventures in the film industry, mentioning her productions such as “Ato” in 2020, a co-production with Juwon Ayorinde called “Iyanje,” and two movies in 2022, “Side Chic” and “My Relative.”
