EFCC Detains Receiver Manager and Captain Over Alleged N120bn Misappropriation: The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has reportedly detained Mr Kamilu Omokide, the Receiver Manager appointed by the Assets Management Corporation of Nigeria for Arik Nigeria Limited, along with Captain Samuel Caulcrick.

The detention is in connection with the alleged misappropriation and diversion of approximately N120bn, as well as the illegal sale and dismantling of a $41m CRJ 1000 aircraft operated by Arik Air.

The EFCC’s action was initiated following a petition by human rights lawyer Femi Falana (SAN), who represents Arik Nigeria Limited.

The petition detailed financial fraud and the sale of assets worth over N120bn.
