Bill Gates to visit Nigeria, partner on health and developmental issues

Microsoft co-founder and co-chair of the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, Bill Gates, is set to visit Nigeria and the Niger Republic this week.

The purpose of the visit is to engage in discussions with national and local leaders, foundation partners, grantees, scientists, and young innovators regarding global health and developmental issues.

The visit aligns with the Gates Foundation’s commitment to collaborating closely with communities and leaders in Africa to support innovative solutions that drive progress and improve lives.

During the visit, Gates and other foundation leaders will meet with partners working on various health threats, agricultural innovations, financial services accessibility, and overall improvement of lives across the continent.

Gates will also participate in a conversation with students and young leaders, emphasizing the importance of science and innovation in driving positive change in Africa.

The event will be co-hosted by the Co-Creation Hub Nigeria and Lagos Business School and will be live-streamed across the continent.
