A distressing incident occurred on the night of June 15, 2023, as Mark Sagarga, a 200-level student of Biological Sciences at Federal University Wukari in Taraba State, was fatally stabbed by unknown attackers.

The 20-year-old student, who resided off-campus, was ambushed while returning home.

His lifeless body was discovered in the early hours of Friday near his residence in Wukari town, not far from the university’s main gate.

According to Comrade Linus Mary Samuel, the SUG Secretary General of the university, the assailants also seized the victim’s mobile phone.

This gruesome act has sent shockwaves through the university community, and the authorities are committed to ensuring that the perpetrators face the full consequences of the law.
