Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, extended his congratulations to Aminat Yusuf, the top-performing student from Lagos State University (LASU), who achieved an exceptional CGPA of 5.00, resulting in a First Class Honours degree.
The governor took to Twitter to express his admiration and appreciation for Yusuf’s remarkable accomplishment.
He emphasized that Lagos values hard work, dedication, and excellence, commending Yusuf for her outstanding achievement as the first undergraduate in four decades to attain such a high CGPA.
Sanwo-Olu also celebrated the academic success of 282 students who obtained first-class honours in the 2020/2021 and 2021/2022 sessions, promising ongoing support and recognition for academic excellence.
Furthermore, the Vice-Chancellor of LASU, Prof. Ibiyemi Olatunji-Bello, announced that Yusuf, a Law graduate, will be awarded a sum of N500,000.00 in recognition of her accomplishments during the convocation press conference.
