Results used by INEC to declare Tinubu as winner were completely incorrect – Dino Melaye tells court

Dino Melaye, the National Collation Agent of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the February 25 presidential election, appeared before the Presidential Election Petition Court in Abuja and testified that election collation errors committed by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) led to the declaration of President Bola Tinubu as the winner.

Melaye stated that he refused to sign the final collated results due to the alleged corruption and malpractices during the collation process.

He asserted that the results were wrongly computed by INEC and he did not endorse them, emphasizing his opposition to fraud.

Melaye also highlighted the failure of electronic transmission of results as a violation of the law and presented additional video evidence supporting claims of INEC’s assurance of electronic transmission of election results.

The court adjourned hearings in the case until Monday, June 19.
