According to a report on Thursday, the lucrative deal between Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s media group and streaming giant Spotify is coming to a close.
The couple had signed the agreement in 2020, reportedly worth $20 million, but have only produced one series under their Archewell Audio podcast label.
The podcast, titled “Archetypes” and hosted by Markle, garnered significant success, topping podcast charts in various markets and featuring discussions with influential women.
However, Variety, citing an unnamed source, stated that Spotify had expected more content.
The report also mentioned that Harry and Meghan were exploring options to relocate their content elsewhere.
Neither Spotify nor Archewell have provided an immediate response or comment.
Since stepping back from royal duties, the couple has focused on media ventures to generate income, including a Netflix documentary series, a revealing autobiography by Prince Harry, and a high-profile interview with Oprah Winfrey.
