Popular Nollywood actor, Don Brymo, is dead

Don Brymo, a renowned Nollywood actor whose real name was Mr. Brymo Uchegbu, has sadly passed away at the age of 56. Reports indicate that he peacefully passed away in his sleep on Wednesday night.

Don Brymo was widely recognized for his memorable portrayal of an Igwe (traditional ruler) in movies.

Mayor Ofoegbu, a movie director, confirmed the heartbreaking news in a Facebook post on Thursday, expressing his shock and grief over the loss.

Don Brymo’s contribution to the Nigerian film industry was cherished, and his sudden departure has left a void that will be difficult to fill.

Born in 1966 in Anambra State, Don Brymo received his primary and secondary education there.

He embarked on his acting career after completing his secondary education, officially joining the Nollywood industry in 2000.

In addition to his acting talents, Don Brymo was also an accomplished singer. Some of his notable movie appearances include “No Money,” “The Fish Girl,” “Land of Fire,” “The Gods Will Fight For Us,” and “Oga Landlord,” among others. His most recent release was the song titled “Mio ni gba.”
