Real Madrid has officially announced the acquisition of Jude Bellingham from Borussia Dortmund on a six-year contract. The English international’s transfer fee exceeds 100 million euros ($108 million).

Dortmund confirmed last week that an agreement had been reached with Madrid, with the deal valued at 103 million euros plus potential bonuses of up to 30 percent.

Bellingham’s arrival contributes to Real Madrid’s midfield rejuvenation, joining fellow young talents Eduardo Camavinga and Aurelien Tchouameni as the club looks to phase out veterans Luka Modric and Toni Kroos.

Madrid praised Bellingham as one of the brightest talents in world football and highlighted his status as a key player for the England national team.
