President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has authorized the indefinite suspension of AbdulRasheed Bawa, the Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).

This decision has been made to facilitate a thorough investigation into Bawa’s actions during his tenure.

The President has instructed Bawa to promptly transfer his responsibilities to the Director of Operations at the EFCC, who will assume the role of Acting Chairman until the investigation is completed.
