Hollins had a remarkable career with Chelsea, making his debut in 1963 and going on to play 592 matches for the London team, scoring 64 goals.

During his first spell at the club, which ended in 1975, he achieved success by winning the FA Cup, European Cup Winners’ Cup, and League Cup.

Hollins was highly regarded by Chelsea fans and held in high esteem by Chelsea board member Daniel Finkelstein, who described him as a hero and someone who embodied the spirit of the club.

In addition to his time at Chelsea, Hollins also played for QPR and Arsenal before returning to Stamford Bridge in 1983.

He represented England once in 1967. Following his playing career, Hollins took on managerial roles at Chelsea from 1985 to 1988, as well as at Swansea, Rochdale, and Stockport.

Hollins’ son, Chris Hollins, spoke on behalf of the family, expressing pride in his father’s contributions to Chelsea’s history and describing him as a beloved husband, father, and grandfather.
