During the 10th edition of Vision Africa Radio Station’s media training, Ikechuckwu Emetu, the Deputy Governor of Abia State, disclosed a startling discovery.
He revealed that a large number of Permanent Voters’ Cards (PVCs) had been found in the office of the Chairman of Ariaria International Market in Aba.
The finding came to light during a recent operation against extortion and illegal levies in the market. The state government has taken swift action, arresting a total of 23 individuals involved in such activities.

Emetu emphasized that these actions were part of Governor Alex Otti’s commitment to putting an end to years of illegal practices in the state.
The Deputy Governor expressed no regrets about taking decisive measures, stating that if he was doing what was right, he didn’t mind being labeled “King Harold.”
Emetu also encouraged media practitioners and youth to utilize social media for positive contributions towards the state’s development.
He commended Bishop Sunday Onuoha and Vision Africa for organizing the training, which he believed would enhance the skills of media professionals in Abia State.
