The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) apprehended 52 individuals suspected of engaging in internet fraud.

The Lagos Zonal Command of the EFCC conducted the arrests related to computer-related fraudulent activities.

EFCC shared this information on Twitter and released the names of the suspects, including Olamilekan Jamiu Ayuba, Ogundeyi Oluwaseun Kayode, Abdulrahman Ismail Abiodun, and others.

The arrests took place during sting operations conducted from June 7 to June 8, 2023, following intelligence received by the Commission regarding fraudulent activities in specific areas of the state.

The seized items from the suspects include mobile phones, laptops, and cars. The investigation is ongoing, and once concluded, the suspects will face prosecution in court.
