Burkina Faso offers $300,000 bounty to capture or eliminate wanted jihadists

In an effort to combat jihadist activity, Burkina Faso is offering a substantial reward of up to $300,000 for information leading to the apprehension or elimination of individuals on a wanted list of “terrorists.”

The country’s security services have released the photographs of 20 actively sought-after terrorists, each carrying a specific bounty.

Sidibe Dramane (alias Hamza) and Diallo Moussa (alias Abou Ganiou) top the list with a reward of 180 million CFA francs.

Burkina Faso has been grappling with a jihadist insurgency since 2015, originating from neighboring Mali.

The country’s security situation remains volatile, with a significant portion of its territory outside government control.

The ongoing conflict has resulted in a high number of casualties and displaced millions of people.
