Two convicted for kidnapping and armed robbery face death by hanging

Two individuals, Mr. Theophilus Nwachukwu and Mr. Christopher Emeka Okoli, have been sentenced to death by hanging by the Delta State High Court 2 in Uvwie Local Government Area.

They were found guilty on charges of conspiracy, kidnapping, armed robbery, and illegal possession.

The court proceedings were presided over by Hon. Justice R. Harriman, who stated that the prosecution had successfully proven all the charges against the defendants beyond a reasonable doubt.

The case was brought forward by a couple, Mr. and Mrs. Gabriel Adoghe, who accused the defendants of robbing them at gunpoint and stealing Mrs. Adoghe’s Honda car.

The defendants were apprehended at a police checkpoint with Mr. Adoghe locked in the car’s trunk.

The prosecution counsel, Theophilus E. Omenuwoma, expressed satisfaction with the judgment and urged Nigerian youths to refrain from criminal activities and instead focus on productive endeavors for their well-being and longevity.
