PDP G-5 governors hold closed door meeting with Tinubu

Four ex-governors of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and the current governor of Oyo State, Seyi Makinde, are presently engaged in a closed-door meeting with President Bola Tinubu at the Presidential Villa in Abuja.

The group, known as the G-5 governors, arrived at the State House at approximately 4:21 pm and proceeded directly to the President’s office.

Alongside Makinde, the other former governors attending the meeting include Nyesom Wike of Rivers State, Samuel Ortom of Benue State, Okezie Ikpeazu of Abia State, and Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi of Enugu State.

Notably, Wike has visited the State House on multiple occasions within a week.

It is worth mentioning that during the February 25 presidential election, these G-5 governors were not supportive of their party’s candidate, Atiku Abubakar.
