In a tragic incident, a man named Siyaka Mohammed reportedly killed his girlfriend, Aisha Aminu, following a misunderstanding.

Aisha, a 30-year-old woman with physical disabilities, was fatally stabbed by her boyfriend in Obehira, Okene Local Government Area of Kogi State.

The 44-year-old suspect allegedly attacked Aisha in the early hours of Wednesday and fled the scene afterwards.

Eyewitnesses described how the assailant visited Aisha’s shop and dragged her out before repeatedly stabbing her until she succumbed to her injuries.

Siyaka, who is said to be from Obehira in Okene, is currently on the run and has been declared wanted. Aisha’s body has been deposited at Okengwe General Hospital mortuary.

The incident is believed to be the culmination of an ongoing dispute between the couple, which had been previously reported to local authorities.
