EFCC set to prosecute twins and 26 others for internet fraud

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) is set to take legal action against a pair of twins and 26 additional individuals in Calabar, as they stand accused of involvement in internet fraud.

The Uyo Zonal Command of the EFCC confirmed the arrest of the twins, Takwan Potential and Takwan Peter, along with the other suspects in Cross River State.

Acting on credible intelligence related to suspected internet-related fraud, the arrests were made on June 6, 2023.

The suspects, including individuals such as Takwan Emmanuel, Kelvin Onedu, Evans Edwin, and David Osuji, were found to be engaging in various fraudulent activities, such as love scams and impersonation.

EFCC recovered multiple mobile phones, laptops, five cars, and a wifi device from the suspects. They will soon face charges in court.
