Governor Hope Uzodinma of Imo State has made a change in his deputy ahead of the upcoming governorship election.
According to the list released by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), Prof. Placid Njoku has been replaced by Mrs. Ekemaru Chinyere Ihuoma as the new deputy governorship candidate.

Meanwhile, Samuel Anyanwu of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has selected Jones Onyeriri, a former House of Representatives member, as his deputy.
Senator Athan Achonu of the Labour Party has chosen Tony Nwulu, another former Reps member, as his deputy for the governorship race.
