Lawsuit filed against Nicki Minaj over alleged damage to borrowed jewelry

Renowned rapper Nicki Minaj has been taken to court for reportedly refusing to pay for borrowed custom jewelry that she allegedly damaged.

A West Hollywood jeweler claims to have loaned jewelry to the rapper, only for some pieces to be returned in a damaged state.

According to documents obtained by TMZ, Nicki’s stylist, Brett Alan Nelson, signed a contract with the Roseark jewelry store, stipulating that the borrowed items should be returned within a week and that any damages incurred would be the responsibility of the stylist.

Allegedly, 66 pieces of jewelry were not returned on time, and upon their eventual return, noticeable damage was observed on certain pieces.

However, sources close to Nicki maintain that all items were returned as promised, and any complaints arose after the jewelry was in the possession of the store.

The jeweler claims to have sent invoices to Brett for the damages, totaling $26,239.50 plus interest, but has allegedly not received payment despite their attempts to collect.

Roseark is now suing Nicki and her stylist for the outstanding amount, although it appears that Nicki herself had no direct involvement with the jeweler.

Nicki’s attorney has responded to the lawsuit, denying any evidence of Nicki damaging the jewelry and suggesting that the lawsuit is merely an attempt to generate publicity and extract an undeserved payment.
