Gunmen, whose identities remain unknown, have allegedly kidnapped three family members in the Greenland community, located behind the 500 Housing Estate in Ganaja, Ajaokuta Local Government Area of Kogi State.
The incident occurred around 9 pm on Monday when the gunmen entered the area, causing residents to flee for safety as the victims were taken away.
Witnesses reported that the assailants arrived in a Siena bus and began shooting indiscriminately before targeting their main victim, a retired security officer.

The Chairman of the Greenland community confirmed the incident and reported it to the local police division and the Department of State Services (DSS).
Disturbingly, the community received a notice from the kidnappers stating their intention to return for further abductions.
The kidnappers have already made contact with the family and are demanding a ransom for the release of the victims.
The Kogi State Police Command has not yet been officially briefed on the incident, but the Police Public Relations Officer assured that updates would be provided once more information is obtained from the Divisional Police Officer.
