Victor Osimhen has been honored by the Confederation of Africa Football (CAF) for his outstanding achievement as the first African player to win the Italian Serie A Golden Boot award.
The Italian Serie A governing body presented Osimhen with the prestigious Golden Boot award after he scored a remarkable 26 league goals for Napoli, contributing significantly to the team’s league title victory.
Throughout the season, Osimhen showcased his exceptional skills for Napoli, and he once again proved his worth on Sunday night by scoring a goal in their 2-0 triumph over Sampdoria.

Coach Luciano Spalletti recognized Osimhen’s remarkable performances and awarded him a starting role in the match, where he opened the scoring.
Thanks to goals from Osimhen and substitute Giovanni Simeone, Napoli secured a well-deserved victory over Sampdoria.
With his goal against Sampdoria, Osimhen’s total tally for the season reached 26 league goals, securing him the distinction of becoming the first African player to win the Italian Serie A Golden Boot award.
