Omoyele Sowore, the presidential candidate of the African Action Congress (AAC), has expressed his belief that President Bola Tinubu is on the verge of encountering a nationwide resistance due to his “thoughtless petrol subsidy policy.”
Taking to Twitter, Sowore alleged that Tinubu’s confidence in removing the subsidy, regardless of protests, stems from a history of impunity in Lagos, which he has controlled since 1999.

Sowore further noted that Tinubu had overlooked the fact that recent revolts across Nigeria, particularly those challenging his dominance in Lagos, have laid the groundwork for a potential national resistance.
Sowore concluded his statement by referencing Sri Lanka and using the hashtag #Revolutionnow. The announcement of the fuel subsidy removal by the President has generated confusion and controversy.
