Mr. Lucky Aiyedatiwa, the Deputy Governor of Ondo State, has vehemently refuted allegations claiming that he had been physically abusive towards his wife, Mrs. Oluwaseun.
The accusations were made by a group called the Society for Women Empowerment, which claimed that Aiyedatiwa had assaulted his wife on two occasions within a four-month period, asserting that such behavior was in violation of his office’s principles.
In response, the deputy governor released a statement through his media aide, Mr. Kenneth Odusola, categorically denying the allegations.
Aiyedatiwa stressed that he has never resorted to violence against his wife since their marriage.

Regarding the women’s group, Aiyedatiwa referred to them as faceless and dismissed the media report as baseless and false.
He stated that the allegations were driven by ulterior motives to incite a crisis in the state, adding that such unfounded claims did not come as a surprise.
Aiyedatiwa emphasized the importance of privacy concerning family matters and clarified that his wife has been residing and working in the United Kingdom for many years, frequently traveling between the UK and Nigeria to manage their home and take care of their children.
The deputy governor warned those spreading false information to cease their actions or face the consequences, attributing the reports to the handiwork of the state’s enemies seeking to sow discord where none exists.
