Operatives of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) have made a significant seizure of illicit drugs at the Port Harcourt Ports Complex in Rivers State.
During a joint inspection with the Nigeria Customs Service, they discovered and confiscated 76.9kg of Canadian loud, a synthetic strain of cannabis.
The drugs were found hidden in four used vehicles within a container labeled MSDU6686346 from Canada.

The seizure took place between June 1 and June 2 following intelligence received by the agency. In a separate operation, the NDLEA located a large warehouse in the Iwe forest, Edo State, containing 3,003kg of skunk, a psychotropic substance.
The drugs were set ablaze. Several arrests were made in other states, including Kano, Borno, and Oyo, where additional quantities of cannabis and other controlled substances were seized.
