Although President Tinubu has not approached him about any appointment, Wike expressed his willingness to serve the country, stating that he is not too big for that.

However, he mentioned his desire to take a rest after serving as governor for eight years. Wike clarified that his meeting with President Tinubu was simply to offer support after the inauguration and he has no plans to defect to the All Progressives Congress.
