475 muslim in Adamawa state depart for hajj in Saudi Arabia

The first group of 475 Muslim pilgrims from Adamawa State have commenced their journey to Madinah, Saudi Arabia, for this year’s hajj.

The pilgrims were transported by an aircraft operated by Aero-Contractors. Alhaji Mikail Danjuma Mubi, the Public Relations Officer of Adamawa State Muslim Pilgrims Welfare Commission, confirmed that the flight took off from Yola International Airport at 9:18 pm on Sunday.

Officials from the Commission accompanied the pilgrims, including the Executive Secretary, Malam Abubakar Salihu, and members of the state government delegation led by Chairman Dr. AbdulHafiz Inuwa.

The departure was marked with a farewell ceremony at the airport, bidding the pilgrims a safe and successful journey.
