Rivers state police kill four suspected cultists in recent operation

Police in Rivers State eliminate four alleged cultists accused of terrorizing Rundele and neighboring communities in Emuoha Local Government Area.

The Commissioner of Police, Polycap Emeka, revealed during a press briefing in Port Harcourt that the suspects were responsible for the murder of four individuals, including two vigilantes.

Acting on received information, the Divisional Police Officer of Rumuji Division, accompanied by a patrol team and vigilantes, responded to the scene in Mgbuaella village of Ndele community.

A fierce exchange of gunfire ensued, resulting in the demise of the suspected cult members. The police recovered two pump-action guns, one locally-made pistol, several empty AK-47 ammunition shells, and cartridges from the scene.
