Deputy Superintendent of Police, Jerry Ogunsakin, was arraigned before the Federal High Court in Lagos, facing charges of conspiracy, obtaining by false pretense, and unlawful conversion of N128m.
The Special Fraud Unit accused Ogunsakin of conspiring with five individuals to fraudulently obtain the money from a businessman under the guise of selling United States dollars.

The defendant pleaded not guilty to the charges. The prosecutor requested a trial date and urged the court to remand Ogunsakin in custody.
The court granted the prosecutor’s request and scheduled the case for July 19. Previously, four other individuals were also arraigned in connection with the alleged crime.”
