Stefanos Foundation, a human rights organization, has revealed that 1,872 individuals lost their lives in Nigeria during 217 attacks between January and April 2023.
The organization, based in Jos and focused on human rights and peace-building, also reported 714 cases of abduction and 65 injuries within the same period.

According to their findings released in a recent report, the attacks took place in 34 states, emphasizing the urgent need for action to address the underlying causes of the violence.
During a joint press conference with the Mwaghavul Development Association in Plateau State, the foundation called for immediate intervention to tackle the ongoing violence, which they believe may be linked to deep economic interests.
