President Bola Tinubu has instructed the Department of State Services (DSS) to immediately vacate the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) office in Ikoyi, Lagos.
Tinubu addressed the issue between the two government agencies, stating that any disputes should be resolved through peaceful means.
The State House released a statement confirming the President’s directive. Earlier in the day, reports emerged that the DSS had surrounded the EFCC premises in Lagos.

However, the DSS denied barricading the entrance, explaining that the building originally belonged to them.
DSS spokesman Peter Afunanya emphasized that there was no rivalry between the agencies and urged the media not to create false narratives.
He clarified that the DSS and EFCC were working as partners for the nation’s benefit and dismissed any claims of a conflict.
