Indian authorities have apprehended two Nigerian nationals, Ebuka Felix and Chukwuka Ewere, in Delhi’s Nilothi area for allegedly scamming at least 20 women out of crores of rupees after establishing connections on Instagram.
The Manesar Cyber Police Station in Gurugram conducted the operation and discovered that the suspects were part of a larger gang targeting women on the social media platform.
The arrests came after a complaint from a woman who claimed to have lost Rs 1.80 crore to a man she met on Instagram, who posed as a British Airways pilot residing in the UK.
Investigations have revealed the involvement of three women from Mizoram, and authorities are intensifying their search for them.
