West Midlands Open University (WMOU), a newly established online university, has been authorized by the Federal Government to offer degree programs in Nigeria, according to an official statement.

The university has obtained licensing and formal approval from the National University Commission to deliver accredited online programs in the country.

The university expressed its enthusiasm for the approval, citing the immense opportunities it would create to offer a wide range of accredited programs globally.

Recognizing the significance of online education in today’s rapidly changing world, WMOU emphasized its experience in the edutech industry.

It highlighted the establishment of a Computer-Based Testing (CBT) center where over a million students have already taken online examinations, both local and international.
