30 pro biafra agitators arrested in Enugu

Approximately 30 individuals advocating for Biafra, a secessionist movement, were apprehended by the police during a procession held in Enugu to commemorate Biafra Day.

The detainees belonged to the Biafra Zionist Movement (BZM), one of the many groups advocating for an independent state of Biafra.

The arrests took place at around 11 am and the agitators were subsequently taken to the State Police Command headquarters.

The individuals, predominantly in their 50s and 60s, had gathered at Independence Layout in Enugu and were preparing to commence their procession when the police intervened.

They carried flags representing Biafra, Israel, and the United States of America at the time of their arrest.
