The Osun State Government issued a warning on Tuesday, stating that it would take action to seal off filling stations in the state that are found to be hoarding petrol.
The statement, signed by the governor’s spokesman, Olawale Rasheed, emphasized the government’s determination to combat artificial scarcity and economic sabotage.
Following President Bola Tinubu’s removal of fuel subsidy, which he announced during his inaugural speech on Monday, the people of Osun State have been experiencing unnecessary hardship.

The state government condemned this action as inhumane and unpatriotic, vowing not to tolerate it.
To address the situation, the government has established a Special Monitoring Team, led by the Chief of Staff, Hon Kazeem Akinleye.
This team, in collaboration with law enforcement agencies and other stakeholders, will commence monitoring of all filling stations across the state to prevent any form of economic sabotage.
