Linkage Assurance Plc reports 16% growth in gross written premium

According to a statement released by Linkage Assurance Plc, the company experienced a 16% increase in its gross written premium, reaching N12.98 billion in the 2022 financial year.

This achievement is notable considering the challenging operating environment during that period.

The company’s full-year financial results, published on NGX Limited, highlighted the positive performance.

Alongside the growth in premium, Linkage Assurance recorded an underwriting profit of N506.162 million, representing a significant 120% increase compared to the previous year.

The company also reported a profit before tax of N2.696 billion and a profit after tax of N2.567 billion, bolstering its bottom line.

Linkage Assurance attributed its strong financial performance to effective risk management and maximization of investment returns.

The company’s total assets rose to N39.998 billion, marking a three percent increase from the previous year.

Daniel Braie, the Managing Director/CEO of Linkage Assurance Plc, emphasized the company’s commitment to customer satisfaction, prompt claims settlement, and value creation for shareholders.
