Labour Party candidate presents evidence in election petition against President Tinubu.
The Presidential Election Petition Court (PEPC) admitted documents submitted by Peter Obi, the Labour Party candidate, to support his petition challenging President Tinubu’s victory in the 2023 presidential election.
The documents, tendered on Tuesday in Abuja, included a United States District Court judgment that allegedly indicted Tinubu and ordered the forfeiture of $460,000 in a drug-related offense.

The petitioner’s first witness, Lawrence Nwakaeti, confirmed the judgment’s authenticity and stated that he had read it in its entirety.
Objections to the document’s admission were raised by respondents’ counsel but would be addressed in the final stage. Further proceedings were adjourned until the following day.
